Almost two and a half years after the game’s initial announcement, a release date for GreedFall has been revealed by Spiders and Focus Home Interactive. Matching the previously teased Sepetember release window, GreedFall will be hitting PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 10. GreedFall actually releases just a couple of weeks before another Focus Home Interactive published title: The Surge 2 from Deck13. This date was confirmed alongside a new trailer, which you can check out below:
That trailer actually showcases gameplay, a first for a GreedFall trailer. In case you didn’t know, it is an RPG that’s equal parts a complicated narrative and customizable action combat. Spiders stresses the importance of choices in GreedFall, as players will be juggling a variety of different relationships that may ultimately result in different outcomes for the game. When approaching any given situation, players will also be able to approach how to solve it.
Sometimes, you can be stealthy or just talk your way out of conflict; at other times, things do devolve into methodical action-heavy combat. This new trailer does a good job at showing both. I actually saw the game in action at E3 2018, so you can check out my impressions of that.
GreedFall finally arrives for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 10, 2019. It only costs $49.99 and is available for pre-order right now on Amazon.
